Mr.Shojaee began his career as an electrical engineer, and has held a general contractor’s license since 1987. In 1990 he also became a licensed real estate broker. After attending the University of Miami, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering as well as Master of Science degree from the University of Miami.
Today, his firm Shoma Group, develops apartment buildings, townhomes, office buildings and retail space since he founded the company in 1988.
Over the past 36 years, Shoma has developed more than 10,000 homes and condominiums and more than one million square feet of retail and office space with $6 billion in completed real estate transactions.
Shojaee has been credited with being the first to discover the potential of Doral – as a bustling metropolis - amassing nearly 55 acres of mixed-use development in the area along with constructing some of the first luxury homes in the city.

Mr. Shojaee, an immigrant from Iran, prides himself on being very hands on and always presenting new design concepts to his developments while also being nimble enough to adapt to changing market conditions.
One of the most respected names in the Miami property market, Mr. Shojaee has remained a central figure in the economic development of his hometown where he has been the recipient of numerous awards for excellence.
Completed projects include the prestigious City Place Doral, Sanctuary Doral, The Flats, Park Square, One Park Square at Doral, Doral View, and The Manor. Mr. Shojaee has 10 current projects including Shoma Village, Shoma Retail, Shoma One, ShomaBazaar, Shoma North Bay Village, Ten30 South Beach and three other projects in progress.
