Dar Rahimian, now 83 years old, has made a significant impact in the fields of civil engineering and construction finance. Born in Iran, Dar pursued his dream of becoming a civil engineer at a young age. In 1971, he moved to Los Angeles with his family, where he quickly adapted to a new language and culture, earning a master's degree in structural engineering from California State University – Los Angeles.
His early career was marked by rapid advancement within the County of Los Angeles, where he started as a civil engineer and soon became a supervisor. Demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit, Dar later founded a successful civil engineering company in Beverly Hills.
In 2009, amid challenging times for developers, Dar co-founded Parkview Financial with his son, Paul Rahimian. With his extensive knowledge of the construction process, Dar helped Parkview become a leading financer of midcap commercial construction projects across the United States. Today, he serves as a senior advisor at Parkview, leading the construction team and providing valuable insights to the firm.
Dar's passion for his work has kept him active well beyond the typical retirement age. He finds immense joy and satisfaction in his job, frequently coming into the office and collaborating with colleagues. Despite facing some health challenges that limit his ability to travel to construction sites, Dar remains dedicated to his role, working full-time and staying engaged with the latest industry technologies.
Over the years, Dar has learned the importance of honesty and hard work, which he considers the cornerstones of his success. If he could change one aspect of his career, he would pursue a PhD in addition to his numerous degrees and professional licenses.
